I loved Wizard of Wor the arcade and the 2600 version.
can't wait to see your rewrite.(will it have the speech as well "insert one gay
coin"....)
well as for me I still have 2600 project on hold.
it's a game Iorginally did on the Ti-99/4a and I'm porting it to the 2600
( mentioned it on AA a while back, Laserman: it's sort of Tempest meets space
invaders(tempest because It has a triangle playfield(I couldn't exactly get the
playfield like tempest) and space invaders because you have to shoot down the
aliens(actually it's the bombs you shoot down, you only see the aliens at the
top screen until the enter the playfield))
when Idid this game on the TI, it was bacsue beinga hugh tempest fan the Ti
didn't have a tempest(or tempest type game for it), the reason why I'm porting
it to 2600 was because of the same reason, then Isaw the 2600 version of tempest
that was a proto, and although it had the feel of tempest but it was missing
the changing playfields.
Laserman: will have shrinking playfields big triangle to small one
(the game being made via Batari Basic, orginally is was being done by 2600
asembly, until Batari basic was made.I'm basicly waiting for the next version of
Batari basic to be released so I can continue work on the game)
